Searching for e-Evidence - One Website at a Time

Description
Today's investigations can include Internet evidence that you may or may not be aware of and you will certainly not want to overlook! The resources, techniques, and knowledge presented in this training event can be applied to any sort of investigation: Law enforcement, Corporate, Private Investigator, and even as a parent or relative of today's always-connected youth.

SEARCH, The National Consortium for Justice Information and Statistics, will be providing a 6 hour lecture covering an array of online investigative resources and cell phone data recovery considerations to further your investigations -- new or old.

In particular, SEARCH will share its resources and knowledge including:
* SEARCH ISP List to look up legal contacts
* SEARCH Investigative Toolbar
* Free web browser add-ons to capture evidence such as a full Facebook album, screen-shot tools, web video downloading, and more!
* Investigative considerations of mobile devices, such as seizing, searching, and recovering mobile device data.
* Investigative considerations on popular websites such as:
* > Google: Search like a pro with Google Advanced Search and boolean operators
* > Twitter: How to search and monitor it
* > Facebook: Profile creation specifications, "Download a Copy" of a profile, and the Facebook law enforcement portal
* > Craiglist: Leverage Google to search craigslist, search tempest, and law enforcement support.
